The Legion of Mary is an Apostolic organization of Lay People in the Catholic Church.  There are over 3 milllion members in countries throughout the world.  The main purpose of  the Legion of Mary is to give glory to God  through the sanctification of its members.

Active members meet weekly for about 90 minnutes to pray, to report on, and to receive a work assignment.  A minimum of 2 hours of work is assigned by the President.  Membership is open to all Catholic men and women.

Active members become instruments of the Holy Spirit through a balanced program of prayer and service.  Auxiliary members, those unable to assume the duties of active membership, recite the prayers of the Legion and the Rosary.
